Shiesedo Perfect UV Protector Spf 50+ PA++++ ( my favorite sunscreen)

We all know that applying sunscreen on everyday basis can prevent skin cancers but do you know that a good sunscreen can help prevent premature aging? Yups, It's crucial to apply sunscreen with high SPF. A 2013 study concluded that the diligent, everyday application of sunscreen can slow or temporarily prevent the development of wrinkles and sagging skin.The SPF (sun protection factor) is the amount of UV radiation required to cause sunburn on skin with the sunscreen on, as a multiple of the amount required without the sunscreen during 1 hour.For example, if you usually get a sunburn in 10 minutes when outside unprotected, you should not burn for 150 minutes if you are wearing an SPF15 product.However, we should know about the differences between UV A and UV B. UV B rays are short waves and it can cause sunburns. It is basically can damage your outer layers of your skin. On the other hand,UV A rays  are long waves that are less intense than UV B rays, but more powerful and can penetrate through clouds and glass windows.It penetrates to your deeper layers of your skin. It  is most likely the cause of premature aging and wrinkles.

The The SPF rating system was developed back in 1962 by Franz Greiter to measure the capacity of a sunscreen to block UVB radiation. The current SPF rating system applies to UVB rays only, since those are the rays that cause sunburn.

SPF-15-30-50 Guide:

 •15- 1/15 of the UVB rays get through to your skin - blocking about 93%.
•30- 1/30 of the UVB rays get through to your skin - blocking about 97%.
•50- 1/50 of the UVB rays get through to your skin - blocking about 98%.

In the USA,broad spectrum means you'll be protected from UVA and UVB rays. UVAs are the culprits of aging and skin cancer, while UVBs are the ones that lead to sunburn. Sunblock is not sunscreen, though, so make sure you buy a product with broad-spectrum protection.
 
So what does PA+++ mean? PA is a Japanese rating system in place before the new regulations that was a way to show how much protection you are receiving from UVA rays. You will see either PA+, PA++, or PA+++ on the label, with more + signs meaning a higher level of UVA protection.

Now, I will give some thoughts about my favorite sunscreen Shiseido Perfect UV protector SPF 50+PA++++ very water resistant. I am in love with this product because of its benefits.
SPF50+･PA++++

Texture:
A very water-resistant sun protection lotion that provides reliable defense against UV rays while offering advanced skincare benefits. Ideal for face and body, and especially formulated for strong sunlight conditions. It is not sticky or oily when you apply to your skin. It is also a very good base make up. I apply this sunblock before applying my make up. Compared to Diorshow White Reveal UV Shield Spf 50, this sunscreen does no wrong.Dior's  texture is more dense and it is too sticky for my oily skin.

Verdict:
It is definitely my holy grail product. I am very happy with it. It doesn't cause breakouts on my acne-prone skin. Its price is a little bit hefty, it cost me SGD 59.00 ( I believe you can find cheaper ones somewhere) but I will repurchase because its benefits and It is so hard for me to find a product that is suitable for my sensitive oily skin. 

Laneige's Water Sleeping Pack_EX

Happy Lunar New Year! I hope you had a great time with you family. Today, I will share about my favorite sleeping mask from Laneige, called Water Sleeping Pack_EX.It is a Korean brand, I do love Korean and Japanese brands because the ingredients are light for my skin compared to American brands that I have tried.
Anyway, I was looking for a skincare product which can refresh and moisturize my skin without make it too oily because my skin is already very oily and troublesome. I found my skin was too dull and dry in the morning. It was so weird since I have an oily skin. In short, I felt that my skin was too dull and flaky. Maybe because I have been sleeping in an air conditioned room and I also exercise on the daily basis. Those make my skin tired and lost its glow. I started goggling about skin care products and I read many positive reviews on this product. I was reluctant to try this product since I have a very sensitive skin. I bought it after all.

-Gently spread over the face from inner part to outer part along the skin texture. 4. Go to sleep after absorption without rinsing off. (Wash face in the next morning)
* Use once or twice a week.
* Apply more than recommended amount when your skin is particularly dry.
* Open the cap and breathe in the scent of Water Sleeping Pac_EX about 5 seconds before use when you feel a heavy stress.
* Apply to neck area for neck care

Packaging:
Personally, I adore its elegant yet simple package.Mine came in special holiday edition. It is a very chic design. The plastic looking glass jar holds 80 ml of product, it comes with a spatula to scoop out the gel to keep it hygienic.

The Product:
This is  gel with light consistency. It can be absorbed by skin easily, it does hydrate and moisturize your skin without stickiness remains. It smells very nice as well, but for some people it may be overwhelming. I bought mine at Metro Departement Store, I can not remember the price maybe around 50-60 SGD ( you should check it to make sure).

Verdict:
In my first application, my skin was dewy and well moisturized when I woke up in the morning. Then, the next application I realized my skin was brighter and more translucent. It also diminished my pimples. I would say, this product works on my skin. It does give my skin nutrition and moisturize it. Will i repurchase? Absolutely yes. It is a good investment for your skin, although it is a little bit pricey but the product comes in generous amount. You need to care more about your skin. It is your asset.

- I have nothing to say but praises to this product
- it makes your skin brighter, moisturized, hydrated
- It is good product for all skin types, including oily and troublesome skin
-It is a lightweight skincare which is not greasy and oily for oily skin
-It helps to soothe pimples
- It smells good

*Cons:
- Almost nothing, maybe it is a little bit pricey but it is worth buying.
- the smell may be overwhelming for some people.

My Skincare Routine: Day and Evening

How was your day? I've been busy with many things, actually this week is a little bit stressful. Since i can not sleep, I would like to share my daily skincare routine. To begin with, my skin is genetically  very far from being perfect skin and as the time goes by it gets worse,I have almost all skin problems, you mention....My skin is very oily yet in certain conditions it gets dry. It has occasional breakouts (pimples), I have enlarged pores (horrid ones), dark spots are everywhere, acne scars ( I wish I could turn back time), blackheads, and many more ( it makes me frustrated to list them down). Anyway, I want you to know that you are not the only one who has the skin problems. To take care of my troublesome skin is very important for me because I don't want to make my skin get worse.I enjoy my journey to find good skincare products which are suitable with my skin condition. I  experienced the woes as well, when I stumbled on wrong products. I had bad experiences with dermatologists ( I might think 100 times to seek help from them). The fundamental thing to get a beautiful skin is when you take care of your skin carefully. Especially, when you are in my age ( 20 something), I started to notice that my skin needs extra treatments in order to avoid premature aging. Well, everybody will be old but I want to age gracefully.I am afraid of botox or others surgical procedures to erase wrinkles on my face.

Back to my daily skincare routine, It is important and crucial to take care of your skin every day. To attain a healthy skin we must not be lazy to clean the skin and moisturize it. For me,a clean and moisturized skin is crucial for a healthy looking skin.There are two parts of my skincare routine, morning routine and evening routine.

Morning Routine:
1. Cleansing
I wash my face with Clinique's Acne Soap Bar, It helps to clear my face from excess oil and dirt.
2. Toning
I use SK II Clear Lotion as toner, it removes soap residues and clear my face. I continue to use SK   II Facial Treatment Essence to protect and improve my skin condition.
3. Serum
I have a lot of dark spots so I am concerned about it, I apply Clinique, Dark Spots Corrector serum. 
4. Moisturizing
I have an acne prone skin so I apply oil free moisturizer from Clinique to prevent future  breakouts.
5.Sunblock /sunscreen
Using sunblock is important because sun lights can damage your skin,you can have dark sports, worsen your pimples, premature  skin aging, etc. ( I really hate sun lights, you need to bring hat or umbrella to protect your skin as an additional sun protector)
6. Make up base and foundation (it's optional)

Evening Routine:
1.Cleansing
I usually use exfoliator product in the evening so I can do deep pore cleansing, it is important because it helps to remove dead skin cells and rejuvenate your skin. I use Clinique's 7 Day Scrub Cream. It has soft exfoliator beads that can give maximum cleanliness on your face. After that,I wash my face with Clinique's Acne Soap Bar.
2.Toning (same as above)
3. Mask
If I am not too lazy I apply my sheet mask
4.Serum(same as above)
5. Night Cream
I am a fan of Laneige skincare brand, I am currently using their White Plus Renew Night Cream

That's all, I do my skin care routine on  the everyday basis,
PS:
Don't go to bed with your make up on. It may irritate your skin and in the next morning you will have pimples.

SK II Facial Treatment Essence and Facial Treatment Clear Lotion

I hope you you had a wonderful weekend. My post today is related to my experience using SK II basic products which consist of SK II Facial Treatment Essence and SK II Facial Treatment Clear Lotion. I got those two from Metro since I got a free voucher. I was curious about this product since I saw many good reviews on it, not to mention a splurge of advertisements on TV. Well, I want a healthy and radiant face so I decided to give this product a try. This product contains 90 % Pitera, which is known as"miracle water" among SK II fanatics. Pitera was discovered almost 30 years a go when scientists noticed the beautiful, youthful hands of sake brewers. Pitera is claimed to have several benefits which are it helps adjust the skin’s rhythm, replenishes and retains moisture, tones the skin texture, adjusts the pH level of the skin, controls the generation of dark spots, soothes sunburned skin and helps control the secretion of sebum. It is also suitable for all skin types.
However,some people might get mild breakouts /pimples due to the first application because the skin is doing adjustments to the product. However, if it happens a lot you need to reduce the application of this product. Even though, it has natural ingredients in it,certain people are susceptible to some ingredients. My suggestion, you need to try to rub the product to your back of your ears and if you feel warm/hot sensation after doing it, your skins might have allergic reaction to this product.
It is a waste if you end up buying it and you don't use it because it is an expensive product.

I am in mid 20ies, and I realized that my skin needs some treatments because it will lose its elasticity and its condition will be declining as the time goes by.Shortly,I am concerned about my skin more than before. I don't like to go to a dermatologist because I had some bad experiences. I think my skin can't handle the treatments.My skin condition is not perfect like other girls, it is an oily -combination skin and it tends to have occasional breakouts. I also have some acne scars and blemishes. Therefore, I am expecting a good outcome by applying this product to my skin since it is an expensive product. I pray so hard to make it happen. I only bought two basic products from SK II because I can't let my Clinique products go. It helps me a lot with my acne prone skin. I might say that SK II is my additional treatment to improve my skin condition. Like I mentioned above, SK II basic products are the Facial Treatment Essence and Facial Treatment Clear Lotion. You can just use the Facial Treatment Essence since it is SK II's mandatory product. I mix between my Clinique and SK II products. It works well on my skin.

The application is easy, after you wash your face using your favorite facial soap you need to apply The Facial Treatment Clear Lotion.Put it to your cotton ball/pad, it works as toner to your skin. It helps to remove excess dirt and oil after washing your face. It removes dead skin cells and makes your face clear and radiant. After the toner, you need to apply the Facial Treatment Essence onto your face by using a cotton ball or pad and pat onto your face or you can pour a small amount of the product to your palm and use your hand to apply the product onto your face, you need to pat your face to make the product works.It helps the skin to absorb the nutrition and it awakes your skin cells. You need to apply the products twice a day.I felt so moisturized after the first application, and my skin turned to be very soft and smooth. In the morning when I got up, I noticed my bumpy breakouts were smaller and my skin glowed. Now I have been using the products for almost a month and feel happy about the result. I definitely repurchase them.

Pros:
-Light and easy to absorb.
-It gives some benefits to your skin: it helps adjust the skin’s rhythm, replenishes and retains moisture, tones the skin texture, adjusts the pH level of the skin, controls the generation of dark spots, soothes sunburned skin and helps control the secretion of sebum.
- It does not break me out
- Very good for young adults.
Cons:
-Pricey
- Some people might experience breakouts

Toni & Guy's Glamour Serum Drops: A Review

Hi There, I am back after a very long hiatus (it is not an overstatement) but my last post was in the last summer.Wow,it has been a while. Today, I want to share my review on a hair serum product that has become my favorite for the time being. Well, here is the review... My hair is very troublesome for me, my scalp is very oily and I have split ends,it means I have dry hair and oily scalp in the same time.Its texture is so weird straight with wavy texture. I have been searching for a good product for a long time.

A wrong shampoo can be a serious disaster, not only it makes my hair dry but also brittle. Bottom line, I need a shampoo which has a deep cleansing effect but not leave my hair dry like dry hay sticks. Finally, I found an okay shampoo that I can use frequently. However, I want to add shine to my hair so I was hoping to find one.Choosing a hair serum product can be very tricky for me because I have split ends and oily hair. Normally, a hair serum product enhances moisture to your hair and it can be uncomfortable for me.Who wants oily itchy hair?. My search finally came to an end when yesterday I went to a drugstore and I found "Tony&Guy Glamour Serum Drops" it is a hair serum product that can tame frizzy hair and add shine to the hair. The product is in a 30ml glass bottle with pump (I found it very effective package). It has clear color and soft scent so it won't be annoying for people who don't like to smell strong perfumes. I like the smell it is so subtle but has a good scent. To use the serum is very easy, if you have oily hair like mine you should put 1-2 drops and for dry hair you can give extra drops of the serum to your palm and rub it using your other palm until you can blend the serum, then you rub the serum from the middle of your hair length (avoid the roots). Voila!, your hair will be shiny , soft and smells good. I was skeptical about this product, but I decided to give this product a try, Thanks God It is worth trying. I won't regret to spend 22.00 SGD to this product. Now I absolutely re-purchase it...

My Skin Regime ( a survival kit for acne prone skin)

Hello it's me again...
Just want to share about my skin regime...
My skin is prone to acnes...(because it's so oily and sensitive)
I had tried a lot of skin treatments and doctors. It was frustrating, until last year i went to Hongkong (January,2011). I remember, i went to a small cosmetic counter in HK airport, my eyes were on a shelf, there were some cosmetic/treatment products that were familiar for me. I started reading one by one, (my skin was so in trouble, i guessed i was back from my ZA trip)i was so sad since i was having pimples and oily skin. I was really depressed by my skin condition. Everyone who has the same problem as mine, might have been sad. I remember some people called me a disgusting girl just because i had a lot of pimples on my face. It was heartbreaking.
Back to my story, i selected one product that was suitable for blemishes and acnes. It was a

Clinique product. The product is a lil bit pricey but it's worth trying.
Ever since, i've been using the products to treat my acne prone skin. The result is slow but it's not like having a treatment for a skin doctor that can cause addictive outcome. I kind a prayed to God at the moment, I prayed that buying the product was my last struggle to make my skin better. Then, God answered my prayer.

Clinique product for pimples (anti-blemish solution/anti-acne solution) is
not a product that can make your skin brighter or lighter like skin doctors' treatments. Maybe you will be dissapointed but it does help me to clear my face...I really want to share with people who are having the same skin problem as mine. I know that pimples on your faces can decrease your self confidence. It was a hard time for me, when i had to cover my face,and i tried not to look my friends/people when i was talking to them.The worst part was when people started looking my face and mocking/asking why i had a lot of pimples.
Now, i am grateful God gave me a small encounter with this product. I hope you can try it when you have blemish problems or they also have very good products for different skin problems. You can see it on: www.clinique.com

Although selecting good product for your skin regime, it's also important to do exercise and eat healthy food (don't eat oily food or fried food too much because it can stimulates your skin to produce oil). I always drink a lot of water, eat fruits and veggies. I believe it can help your acne prone skin.(check my pic, you can see my better looking skin)
