SK II Facial Treatment Essence and Facial Treatment Clear Lotion

Hello Everyone,
I hope you you had a wonderful weekend. My post today is related to my experience using SK II basic products which consist of SK II Facial Treatment Essence and SK II Facial Treatment Clear Lotion. I got those two from Metro since I got a free voucher. I was curious about this product since I saw many good reviews on it, not to mention a splurge of advertisements on TV. Well, I want a healthy and radiant face so I decided to give this product a try. This product contains 90 % Pitera, which is known as"miracle water" among SK II fanatics. Pitera was discovered almost 30 years a go when scientists noticed the beautiful, youthful hands of sake brewers. Pitera is claimed to have several benefits which are it helps adjust the skin’s rhythm, replenishes and retains moisture, tones the skin texture, adjusts the pH level of the skin, controls the generation of dark spots, soothes sunburned skin and helps control the secretion of sebum. It is also suitable for all skin types.
However, some people might get mild breakouts /pimples due to the first application because the skin is doing adjustments to the product. However, if it happens a lot you need to reduce the application of this product. Even though, it has natural ingredients in it,certain people are susceptible to some ingredients. My suggestion, you need to try to rub the product to your back of your ears and if you feel warm/hot sensation after doing it, your skins might have allergic reaction to this product.
It is a waste if you end up buying it and you don't use it because it is an expensive product.

I am in mid 20ies, and I realized that my skin needs some treatments because it will lose its elasticity and its condition will be declining as the time goes by.Shortly,I am concerned about my skin more than before. I don't like to go to a dermatologist because I had some bad experiences. I think my skin can't handle the treatments. My skin condition is not perfect like other girls, it is an oily -combination skin and it tends to have occasional breakouts. I also have some acne scars and blemishes. Therefore, I am expecting a good outcome by applying this product to my skin since it is an expensive product. I pray so hard to make it happen. I only bought two basic products from SK II because I can't let my Clinique products go. It helps me a lot with my acne prone skin. I might say that SK II is my additional treatment to improve my skin condition. Like I mentioned above, SK II basic products are the Facial Treatment Essence and Facial Treatment Clear Lotion. You can just use the Facial Treatment Essence since it is SK II's mandatory product. I mix between my Clinique and SK II products. It works well on my skin.

The application is easy, after you wash your face using your favorite facial soap you need to apply The Facial Treatment Clear Lotion.Put it to your cotton ball/pad, it works as toner to your skin. It helps to remove excess dirt and oil after washing your face. It removes dead skin cells and makes your face clear and radiant. After the toner, you need to apply the Facial Treatment Essence onto your face by using a cotton ball or pad and pat onto your face or you can pour a small amount of the product to your palm and use your hand to apply the product onto your face, you need to pat your face to make the product works. It helps the skin to absorb the nutrition and it awakes your skin cells. You need to apply the products twice a day.I felt so moisturized after the first application, and my skin turned to be very soft and smooth. In the morning when I got up, I noticed my bumpy breakouts were smaller and my skin glowed. Now I have been using the products for almost a month and feel happy about the result. I definitely repurchase them.

Pros:
-Light and easy to absorb.
-It gives some benefits to your skin: it helps adjust the skin’s rhythm, replenishes and retains moisture, tones the skin texture, adjusts the pH level of the skin, controls the generation of dark spots, soothes sunburned skin and helps control the secretion of sebum.
- It does not break me out
- Very good for young adults.
Cons:
-Pricey
- Some people might experience breakouts

To Him Who Loved Me...

I woke up with tears on my cheeks, I had the same dream that has been appearing in my sleeps. It felt like I experienced a deep agony and remorse all over again.Even I still can feel the anguish of grief ,just now when I am awake. A few years back, somebody told me that I meant the world for him. The world that he wasn't able to reach yet he kept longing for my existence. I didn't know him, a man who looked at me in a different way, a sweet way beyond my expectations. A man who saw me as an exquisite persona, I didn't know him. I was driven by my struggles, I was overwhelmed by never ending foolish quests, I didn't even know how to express and feel any happiness. At the end, the only thing left was my emptiness.
I still reminisce that day, the day that turned my life. A young guy in my school approached me, he handed me a piece of paper. He wanted me to open it,there were a few words written on the ivory colored-paper that I held. I always remember the words, " Don't be sad because I always watch over you, your pain is my pain". The guy in front of me took a deep breath, " He wanted me to give this because he couldn't, he is not here anymore" ," what do you mean?"I asked." He passed away this morning" he whispered. I felt a cold breeze in my neck, my heart pounded. " I don't understand" I stared at him, " He was my friend, he loved you but the situation was difficult for him, he used to wait for you, think about you and talk about you", he murmured. " But, he couldn't reach you, he was too frail too scared with his feeling" I could see the grief in his eyes. I was spacing out, I barely pulled myself together, I was baffled by his words, puzzled by the small note that I held tightly with my palm. " I am sorry, I couldn't tell you before now everything is too late, I wish I had had a courage to tell you, I wish I had not listen to him ,I wish I had not made a promise to him and just told you everything" I could hear his voice trembled. I looked at him, I observed his brown eyes, I could see a deep remorse there." He loved you, but He didn't have time, He didn't want you to suffer and burdened by his illness, it was hard for him, the only thing that kept his spirit was you, he came to this campus just to see you walking on the garden's paths, I remember his vague smile when he looked at you, I am sorry I didn't tell you earlier" a pause. " Don't be sorry, It wasn't your fault, you tried to keep your promise,I know you were a good friend to him, I am sorry, I don't know about this" I tried to select my words carefully. He shook his head," You did your best" I continued. " I went to the hospital where he stayed, I thought it was my regular visit, I thought he was getting better after his last treatment" I saw an emptiness in his slanting eyes. " You know when  sick people look better, when you think everything is doing fine, sometimes it is not true, they just stay for a while to comfort you to say goodbye and to make sure you are okay when they are gone , I knew it but I didn't want the negative feeling took my expectation. I was praying so hard, but God had His plan, I think he doesn't feel the pain any longer, I don't want to see his suffering...somehow I feel relieved" I barely heard his last words. "Can I see him?" I said.
We went to his funeral, It drizzled throughout the day, as if the world had suffered the same pain as we had experienced. It was a very gloomy Wednesday.
I saw a gallant young man with a cheerful smile in his picture, a young man who was eager to live his life into the fullest part. I cried because I couldn't do anything to comfort him, I wasn't there to share his pain. I was dragged by a penetrating sorrow.

Even now, I am still able to perceive the moment, a moment when I first heard about him. Those puzzles take a form in my unconscious mind through my dreams. A dream that always reminds me about how I was loved, It makes me believe that somebody always watches over me, that I am not alone to face hardships...I will value my life as he always wished.

My Exercise Routine: It is not about being skinny

Hi Everyone,
I hope today was a good day for you. It has been raining in Singapore, I like rain but it may detain my exercise routine. I just finished my evening run, it was so much fun, I ran under the drizzle. I feel so nostalgic when I memorize the old days under the misty rain. While I was running, my mind was wandering to the old days the days when all those memories started. It is a bittersweet longing.
Well, I want to share my exercise routine to all of you. As we know, Asian girls are blessed with tiny statures, by nature you are already gorgeous. How wonderful it is! You don't have to exercise all day to get the body and you can still eat your favorite food. Some of my friends have good metabolism, they just do nothing to be awesome...hehe

However, not all Asian girls are blessed with the quality. Including me, I am not one of lucky girls. By nature, I am a stocky short girl with broad shoulder, moreover I have a round face. Wow, what a combination. No wonder, when I was in school some people called me a fatso I was 55 kilos in my 158 cm frame..(it was so sad, but who cares I get over it). Therefore, I force myself to exercise. At first, it was a difficult, I had to kick myself out of my bed and jogged very early in the morning. It has been 2 years since I did my first exercise routine. Now, everything is getting better. I regained my little confidence. I feel so much better now, not only I am smaller but also I am happier.

Normally, I exercise 5-6 times a week. I like yoga and running.I run 4-5 times a week and do yoga when I don't run. Yoga is very good for relaxing your muscles and your mind. It makes you less stressed and calm during busy weekdays. I usually do some runs in jogging tracks in my vicinity. When I get bored running outdoor I go to the gym.I mix some strength training to my cardio as well. You need to do some stretching before exercising at least 5-10 minutes. It helps you to avoid injuries during the training. Above all, you need to stay active, don't be couch potatoes. When you are at home don't just watch TV but keep going. You can clean the house, cook and many more.

You also need to control your calories intake, I control my diet. I don't eat fatty food, red meat, and rice.I eat a lot of veggies, I don't really like fruits because sometimes it is too sweet for me.
I eat in small portions so It won't make stomach hurt, the good thing is my stomach gets adjusted to small portions. However, your diet is your personal matter, you should consult to your nutritionist. Bottom line, if you have a lot of activities you need to eat more.Don't limit yourself just because you want to be skinny as the girls in magazines. Remember, every girl has different body...You need to get enough sleep as well, it boosts your metabolism. Don't stay up too late. If you stick to your healthy diet and exercise you might not expose yourself to cigarettes and alcohol. Believe, those two things bring no benefits to you.

Some girls are afraid of exercising, they think they get muscular and bigger (this opinion only comes from Asian girls I assume). The assumption is not true because when you start exercising your fat turns to muscles which are good and weigh more. Some skinny girls might have light body but it doesn't mean they have muscles and have less fat. Don't worry your muscles are sexier than bones and skins. You can see some attractive girls in Olympic, they have toned bodies, I simply adore them. You need a hard work to achieve it, not just starve yourself...

The benefits of exercising are not just to have a skinny body but it makes you happier, don't have to think about other people's opinions. You need to change the mindset, get active and you will be a better person inside and outside. Healthier, happier, and skinner as the excess of your exercise routine...Cheers...

Christmas Shopping Spree

Oh Gosh,,,Next month is already Christmas (the best day ever).

A Brazilian Restaurant in Singapore: Carnivore

Hi everyone,
I went to a Brazilian restaurant last night, it wasn't a new experience for me because I went to a Brazilian buffet before. For some people, you might find it new and interesting.Basically, the restaurant i went last night was a steak house.
Brazilian people call it  churrascaria (Portugese  is a Brazilian steakhouse). Churrasco is the cooking style, which translates roughly from the Portuguese for 'barbecue'. The modern Brazilian restaurants serve their food using rodizio service. The service is when one pays a fixed price and the waiters will bring samples of food to each costumer at several times until the customers notify that they have enough.Passadores (meat waiters) come to the table with knives and a skewer, on which are speared various kinds of meat, be it beef, pork, filet mignon, lamb, chicken, duck, ham (and pineapple), sausage, fish, or any other sort of local cut of meat. So, we just need to wait the waiters to bring us food.

Back to Carnivore (the restaurant I went to), it has several branches throughout the city. I went to Chjimes branch, it is a cluster of restaurants and bar in a historic building complex. It once housed a Catholic convent school known as the Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus (CHIJ) and their convent quarters known as Caldwell House. The complex is located at Victoria Street in the Downtown Core, within the Central Area, Singapore's central business district. The place brings back the memory of colonial days, in Semarang maybe it's equal to the Old City district or Lawang Sewu.

The Brazilian restaurant is inside the complex, I went there for dinner (they are also open for lunch but the menu offered is different) so I couldn't see the whole area since it's darker at night.I believe it is a beautiful place to hang out and eat. You can get your dinner there at 06.00 pm until it is closed ( I don't know the exact time). The place has an outdoor dining and indoor dining, since I don't like smokers I prefer the indoor one.It has a bar at the outdoor dining.
The place is a decent place to eat, although it doesn't have a distinctive decoration. The only thing that remind you of Brazil is the music that they play during your meal. I enjoyed it, it cheered me up a little bit. The restaurant offers a salad bar where you can mix your favorite fruits and veggies, also some other foods that you might like. I only ate some veggies and roasted potatoes. It tasted good.

The waiter showed the place to sit and gave a token to me, so it is a small sign that you can show the waiters that you are ready for your food or you have it enough. Remember, you are gonna eat some dishes in consecutive times. I recommend you to go with a fairly empty stomach, so you can eat a lot and don't waste your money (it is expensive, for a person you pay almost 50 dollars). I basically just sat and waited for the waiters to serve the food. I don't eat red meat so I only got a little bit of fish and chicken, the place can make profits from people like me hehehe. Definitely, the place like this is for people who love eating meat, so they won't regret spending every penny on it. The food was delicious and the service was good as well. If you look for a different ambiance and experience you can give this place a shot. You can get to this place easily, just take MRT to City Hall station and take exit A. If you don't like Brazilian restaurants you can just look for other options, since it is a complex of restaurants. You can find Mexican food, Japanese or Korean food. However, you need to bring extra money because the price is not friendly to your wallet...
See you in my next post...have a nice wonderful day...Cheers

Zombie: The Captivating Story of Darkness

My mind started questioning "why zombies have been so popular in the last few years?" I remember my first encounter with the living dead when I watched George Romero's movie "Dawn of the Dead"followed by "Day of the Dead". I have been fascinated by the undead stories ever since. My current favorite zombie show is AMC's TV show " The Walking Dead". It does bring chill to my spine. I even planned to do  a zombie walk, but I was late for the registration.I think it can be a proof that I am one of those zombie fanatics.

Unlike Vampire and Were Wolf who are pictured as good looking yet mysterious creatures, zombies are pictured as resurrected corpses who eat human flesh and have terrible looks. I admit that they are so disgusting. I might runaway when I meet one of them.Do you know that zombies were real? I couldn't believe it at first, but every story has its origin. When you look at Oxford dictionary, zombie can be defined as,
a corpse said to be revived by witchcraft, especially in certain African and Caribbean religions.Informal a person who is or appears lifeless, apathetic, or completely unresponsive to their surroundings.
According to the definition Zombie, it is interesting because the term was initially, an element of the Haitian African-American religion known as Voodoo . In this context, the term zombie is used to describe a deceased individual who is revived and has their every action governed by a sorcerer or bokor. The revived subject is thought to have no will of its own and is said to remain in a ‘zombie-like’ state. This purposefully leaves a passive easily-controlled animated body – the zombie – believed to be created to provide free labour on plantations. It is believed that the bokor captures and stores the victims soul (or zombi astral) in a jar or bottle, which can be either be used to strengthen their powers or sold on to clients as a good luck charm.

Anthropologist Wade David  claimed to have identified the ingredients of the bòkò’s zombification powder which supposedly included tetrodotoxin – a naturally occurring neurotoxin found in some animals, like the pufferfish, which can cause temporary coma-like states.

Actually, Zombies are rich with symbolism and metaphors. Not merely, a theme of a movie or TV show.Zombies of the Haitian Voodoo variety represent a loss of cognition/ consciousness and also a loss of free will. What is it except these things, after all, that separates us from animals. By "controlling" another person and eliminating that persons ability to make choices, let alone engage in conscious thought, the "controller" has reduced that person to the level of an animal and has robbed him of his humanity. A distinct parallel might be drawn here between cultures that have promoted the use of slavery (such as our own) and zombie films. To fear the possibility of zombies, then, is to fear enslavement.

In modern days, Zombies embody the human fear, not only one single kind of fear but it takes it forms in different kinds of fears that we face in our everyday lives. They come to embody the human fear of our own dead tissue. We, as humans, go to great lengths to obscure the remains of our dead, especially our loved ones. If someone we know dies, our mental image of that person stops at the grave. When we build a picture in our mind's eye of that person, it is not the rotting corpse or skeletal remains that we see-even though that is the person's current status--but the memory of that persons conscious life. It is no mistake that we bury our corpses "six feet under" so as to eradicate the ugliness of decomposition.

Therefore, to confront a zombie is to be reminded of our own mortality. It, as is proven in Night of the Living Dead and its ilk, is especially terrifying to encounter, let alone be attacked by, the physical image of one's deceased beloved. Being that our mortality is something that we try to decorate with tidy rituals and outright denial, zombies serve as a painfully striking reminder that we will all eventually return to the same stinking earthly essence from which we are born.

Night of the Living Dead and its counterparts also illustrate the fear of widespread apocalyptic destruction. It is not a coincidence that these movies appeared mostly at the height of the Cold War paranoia that was taking place earlier this century. Much like the atomic bomb, zombies are unleashed in a chain reaction, each devoured corpse arising and looking for more human flesh to consume. As the zombie count increases exponentially, they cover more and more distance until they overtake massive amounts of land area. Indeed, by the end of Romero's Day of the Dead (1985), the final installment of his "Dead" trilogy, only a small militia-esque band of survivors is remaining in the United States. Consequently, they choose to relocate to an uninhabited island in the tropics as the U.S. becomes a barron wasteland, populated only by the walking dead. At the conclusion of Return of the Living Dead (1985), the U.S. government chooses simply to erase the area populated by zombies with a nuclear missle (ironically, the process of human reanimation was enacted by nuclear radiation to begin with and thus, in this reciprocity of events, not only is the fear of holocaust represented, but also the metaphorical enactment of full-on nuclear war).

Zombies also represent widespread annihalation in the form of plague-like sickness. The implications here are basically the same as they are with nuclear apocalypse, but on a more personal and intimate level. Romeroesque zombies multiply by infecting their victims through the mixing of bodily fluids (saliva, etc.). When a person is attacked by a zombie, that person, in a process similar to that enacted by vampires, becomes a member of the "undead." As is the case with the cold war similarities, the fact that the majority of the Night..-style zombie movies arrived during the 80s during the height of the AIDS epidemic is difficult to overlook.

After all, Zombie is not only a fictional story but it also brings our understandings to our fears, that probably is a good preparation to us to encounter unexpected events in the future....

Skinny, Light Complexion,and Pointed Nose

“The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows & the beauty of a woman only grows with passing years.”

Toni & Guy's Glamour Serum Drops: A Review

Hi There, I am back after a very long hiatus (it is not an overstatement) but my last post was in the last summer.Wow,it has been a while. Today, I want to share my review on a hair serum product that has become my favorite for the time being. Well, here is the review... My hair is very troublesome for me, my scalp is very oily and I have split ends,it means I have dry hair and oily scalp in the same time. Its texture is so weird straight with wavy texture. I have been searching for a good product for a long time.
A wrong shampoo can be a serious disaster, not only it makes my hair dry but also brittle. Bottom line, I need a shampoo which has a deep cleansing effect but not leave my hair dry like dry hay sticks. Finally, I found an okay shampoo that I can use frequently. However, I want to add shine to my hair so I was hoping to find one.Choosing a hair serum product can be very tricky for me because I have split ends and oily hair. Normally, a hair serum product enhances moisture to your hair and it can be uncomfortable for me.Who wants oily itchy hair?. My search finally came to an end when yesterday I went to a drugstore and I found "Tony&Guy Glamour Serum Drops" it is a hair serum product that can tame frizzy hair and add shine to the hair. The product is in a 30ml glass bottle with pump (I found it very effective package). It has clear color and soft scent so it won't be annoying for people who don't like to smell strong perfumes. I like the smell it is so subtle but has a good scent. To use the serum is very easy, if you have oily hair like mine you should put 1-2 drops and for dry hair you can give extra drops of the serum to your palm and rub it using your other palm until you can blend the serum, then you rub the serum from the middle of your hair length (avoid the roots). Voila!, your hair will be shiny , soft and smells good. I was skeptical about this product, but I decided to give this product a try, Thanks God It is worth trying. I won't regret to spend 22.00 SGD to this product. Now I absolutely re-purchase it...
Pros:
 - adds shine to your hair
- makes your hair smooth and soft
- smells good - easy to carry around
 -soften your split ends
 - moisturizes your hair without making it oily
 Cons:
 - a little bit pricey
 - only comes in 30 ml bottles
